Is this the height of PANTHEISM? This is a difficult concept for me. After
giving it some thought it can ring true. All experiences of
NIRVANA/ENLIGHTENMET are accompanied with feelings of being at ONE with the
universe. Its much easier to converse with consciousness than it is to
converse with inanimate objects.

To sum up your statements (Michael's) thus far, it starts to become mind
boggling.
The earlier statement that all things are alive and this statement that all
things are in fact individual species conjures the image that we live in a
very, very rich and busy universe with a lot going on in the background that
we never pay attention to.
Do you believe that the whole method of Enochian is an effort on the part of
the angels to reveal to man that everything is in fact an individual entity.
To make my point clearer, to my limited knowledge I am not aware of any
previous Grimoire which uses the methodology of combining letters and names
to make new spiritual entities. This is unheard of in the Greater and
Lesser(Goetia) keys o SOlomon, The Arbatel of Magic. The Enochian community
and the angels themselves hint to the fact that they are helping in bringing
the next step in man's spiritual and intellectual evolution. Do you think
this concept that everything is alive and that everything is also very
individual is a 'Dogma' of Enochain magick?

OR

The angels themselves simply build onto the existing paradigm of the
magician and through that paradigm(world view) they will bring forth their
messege and change in the psyche of the practitioner. In other words, the
angels do not care whether you are theist, polytheist or even
agnostic.....rather they care more about that you speak the calls and get
the show on the road.

Exellent, I love your concept of synergy....the interaction between the
letters brings about new dynamics which could not exist otherwise. In other
words, Michael, your are saying that the entity AB is not simply the simple
sum of A and B, but also the result of the
'attractive/repulsive/cooperative' forces which exist between letters of A
and B. These cooperative forces could never exist if A and B where never
placed side by side....so indeed Michael i am beginning to think that the
spirit AB is more unique than I previously imagined.

Thank you Michael for this promise that I will never understand the system
in its entirety..I'd better waste no time and start calling down heaven :-)

I guess this idea of Enochian angels being more like machines than persons
is an approach I have been using to feel comfortable with the results I
recieve when scrying.
I find that thinking of these spirits as machines makes evoking the angels a
less of a threatening experience. I have only been a 'practicing' magician
for two years, and the concept of evocation is a fascinating one indeed. To
put myself at ease, I tend to convince myself that I am only dealing with
machines (or to put it another way, I sometimes see them as 'programs' which
are set to execute when the calls are spoken. (PLease no insult intended).
Deep down I know that this is not true, but until I get comfortable with the
experience of Enochain and even evocation I will take small steps at getting
used to the whole experience :-)


Thank you very much Michael for your insightful reply, you have given much
food for thought.

I am very pleased to be a part of this list. There is a lot of archived
materail waiting to be read. A little about myself. I am a grad student in
chemistry and I reside in Saskatoon Canada. However, I am south african. I
like to balance the mystical/esoteric with the experimental, who knows maybe
they are two sides of the same coin.
